Britain Takes Lead To Stop Asteroids

Coming off the recent news that NASA is Short Money to Watch for Near Earth Asteroids, a company in Britain (Stevenage space company, EADS Atrium) is developing a program to deter those we have on our radar. The plan is to send a spacecraft out which will sit itself around 50 meters away from the asteroid. By using the gravity of the device itself, the scientists are hoping to shift the asteroid's orbit just enough for it to pass safely by Earth. Sounds like a good idea in theory, however the device needs to be launched many years for the "gravity tractor" to bump the asteroid off of its collision path. So this will pretty much just be a big waste of money. Especially since the 2012 is right around the corner. We don't have time for an asteroid deflector to take years. Get with it people!

2012 Japanese Trailer

A new Japanese trailer was just released for the upcoming '2012' movie. I was really hoping for some Japanese dubbing but it's only subtitled :( Oh well, you get some new scenes so that's pretty cool. The movie is coming out on November 13th. Mark your calendars!

Howlinmoonbakery.com Review - Never Use This Site

Sorry for posting this here as it is off topic, but I don't really have a better place to get the word out about these asshats. Here is a actual email conversation I had with the customer service team. Notice at the end where the person tells me they don't want me to buy anything from them. Is this for real? Am I in the wrong here? I've taken out my name and email address. Order confirmation was on Aug 18th and the rest of the emails were done today, Aug 27th.

Hello,
Should I be expecting a shipping confirmation email as well as this?  Haven't heard anything back since the 18th.  Let me know.
Thanks!

It didn't require me to sign up for an account upon ordering.  I've done so now, but I don't think I can view the status of my order.  So should I just wait and hope my order is on the way?
Thanks!

websales@howlinmoonbakery.com show details 10:24 AM (4 hours ago)
Yes it didn't require you, you were given the option and if you chose not to create the account you were required to check that you read, understood and agreed to not be able to login and see your order status.
And yes for security reasons you can't sign up for an account and expect to see previous orders. If that was the case anyone could pretend to be you and see your information.
Do you honestly think that we would take the time to respond to you if we planned on scamming you? Is there a reason you were expecting your order to ship prior to the advertised processing time?  I encourage you to read our help section.  It has similiar information given to you when you checked out.

Me show details 10:56 AM (4 hours ago)
Most sites require an email confirmation to prevent what you are talking about.

And no, I do not think you are planning on scamming me.  The reason for my inquiry is I thought (maybe I am in the wrong) when I checked out it said my item would get to me within 7-10 days.  I know the USPS does not even offer a shipping time of 10 days inside the US so I assumed the 7-10 days included processing time.  It is now on day 10 and I had not received a shipping confirmation (which I know now will not be coming).  So no, I was not expecting my order to ship prior to the advertised time- just within it.

There is no need for you to reply.  And there is also no reason why I should be trying to defend myself after asking a simple question.

websales@howlinmoonbakery.com show details 11:10 AM (3 hours ago)
You are only taking into account the shipping time (7-10 business days) and not the processing time. They are two different advertised timeframe. It is listed on each product page and the help page as well as in the checkout process.
On addition USPS does have multiple shipping options one that can actually take
up to 21 business days to arrive.

Me show details 12:36 PM (2 hours ago)
That's interesting.  According to their site I am showing a package of my size should take no longer than 3 days shipped anywhere within the US.  Can you let me know which method these are going out that takes 7-10 days?

websales@howlinmoonbakery.com show details 12:57 PM (2 hours ago)
As per your own email a package can take 7 days. We don't understand your question. If that is our advertised time frame what else do you need to know?

Me show details 1:05 PM (2 hours ago)
Just want to know the shipping method, that's all.  I picked the free ground shipping but that can't be what I received.  Ground shipping, according their site, will take 3 days if shipped from Illinois to my address.  Since you said the 7-10 days "advertised time" did not include processing, then the ground shipping is not what is being used.  I just want to know by what method my items will be shipped.

websales@howlinmoonbakery.com show details 1:37 PM (1 hour ago)
Yes, your item is being shipped via ground service. We ship from several areas of the country depending on where the particular item is warehoused.  Making assumptions as to the size and place your item is being shipped is not going to assist you, as they are your assumptions, and are not the reality.
Let us spell this out for you. You placed your order on Tuesday 8/18. As indicated, items will take a minimum of 2-3 business days, but can take up to 10 business days to ship.  An order placed on Tuesday 8/18 will ship anywhere between 8/20 and 9/1.  Your shipment can take up to 7-10 business days to arrive, but of course can arrive prior to that, again, depending on where it is shipped from and where you live. Remember, we do ship to states like AK and HI, where 10 day ground shipping is usual, hence the wider timeframe given.
So, based on a shipping date of between 8/20 and 9/1, your order will arrive between 8/21 and 9/15 - again this is the earliest to latest listed.

Me show details 2:13 PM (53 minutes ago)
There is nowhere in the United States, Hawaii included, where it would take 7-10 days for my package to arrive via the shipping method you have indicated.  I'm pretty sure I can make accurate assumptions about the size of a package that includes a couple bandannas.  If I had to guess, your company chooses a size that is most cost efficient for you.  You aren't going to put my order in a 5 ft box and you aren't going to put heavy objects in there to increase your shipping costs.

Thanks for trying spelling it out to me though.  Just so you know for the future when you are helping your customers, the  math on your low end is not accurate.  If the item was shipped on 8/20, you said I could receive it 8/21.  But, the low end on my shipping time is 7 days.

Thanks for being so kind and willing to help me throughout this process.  It seems that you have a rare dedication within customer service that just really urges your clients to keep coming back and buy more from your website.

websales@howlinmoonbakery.com show details 2:41 PM (25 minutes ago)
Again, you are missing the point that these are "longest ESTIMATES" so yes, if you live next door to the warehouse, your item could arrive on 8/21 if shipped on 8/20 via ground.

I also think that you are missing the point that we are not encouraging *you* to come back

Axthadans

I wrote a post the other day which referred to the alien race the Axthadans. I've gotten a few emails questioning who/what they are so I thought I'd share a little what I know about them. Here are some things we know about the Axthadans:

Axthadans are located in the Andromeda Galaxy
Axthadans live on planet Axthada
Axthadans are thousands of years ahead of human technology
Axthadan civilization is considered to be Utopian
Axthadans are more human-like and taller than classic aliens
Axthadans are believed to be the associated with the encounter described by Prophet Ezekiel
Axthadans have met with world leaders
Axthadans may be working closely with China
Axthadans have visited hundreds of other civilizations and communicate via alien probes
Axthadans can be quite friendly and are even known to have a sense of humor
Axthadans visit Earth very rarely
Axthadans have the technology to completely destroy planets
Axthadans can travel faster than light by utilizing wormholes
Axthadans have actually communicated with a species far superior to their own which call themselves the Klorionexians

That's pretty much all I know about the race which I've gathered from UFO get togethers and books over the years. If anyone else has anything else to add, please leave a comment to let me know.

WaiverWire.com Fantasy Football Draft

It's about that time again. Football season is starting back up! It feel like it's been several years (realistically it has only been 6 months) since I last watched a football game so I can't wait. And what's great about football season starting? You guessed it.. fantasy football! Since I'm a University of Florida alumni, my fantasy football strategy is pretty much to pick as many of the ex-Florida gators that I can find. This year should be a good year for me because I'm banking on Percy Harvin. I'm hoping he can even do half of what he did in college at the NFL level. That would still make him an amazing pick for the fantasy league. Over on WaiverWire they have something you can sign up for called the "Stimulus Package" where you can get access to all sorts of fantasy football goodies absolutely free. It's a $20 value which allows you to check all sorts of stats, news on your players, live game day leaders, depth charts, picks of the week, etc. Everyone who enjoys fantasy football will get a lot of great features by signing. I encourage all of you to do so. Last but not least, good luck to everyone in the upcoming season!

Obama Will End the World

Let's be serious for a minute. There are hundreds upon hundreds of possible scenarios in which the world could end, but we all know that Barack Obama is the number 1 threat. We have learned straight from the Bible (also predicted by Nostradamus) that Obama is the anti-Christ. This is why you found witches and shamans celebrating when Obama was elected. The anti-Christ is a person that will come to fame quickly and deceive millions (if not billions) of people near the time of Christ's return. The anti-Christ is in connection with Satan and will be supported by demonic forces in his unholy evolution against God in his attempt to overthrow the nations of the world. The Devil's children couldn't be more happy about what is going on in Washington. Here are a few other things about Obama you may not know:

Obama is a Muslim
Obama forged his birth certificate
Obama is not a US citizen
Obama fostered political chaos in Africa and is dedicated to worldwide jihad
Obama refuses to salute the American flag (and had it removed from his campaign plane)
Obama supports using tax money for abortions and euthanasia
Obama wants to create death panels with his new health care bill
Obama mocks the Bible
Obama has had homosexual sex and has used illicit drugs
Obama is a fascist
One of Obama's best friends is Bill Ayers (co-founder of Weather Underground which conducted public bombings in the 60s and 70s)
Obama was an organizer of ACORN
Obama does not support the US troops
Obama committed perjury on his Illinois bar application
Obama is letting Iran develop a nuclear weapon
Obama is trying to take away our second amendment
Obama's campaign was a lie and taxes will be raised for ALL Americans
"Obama's Youth Brigade" bill is mimicking NAZI Germany's youth army
Obama and his wife are both racist
Obama makes fun of people in the Special Olympics
Obama regularly does a "terrorist fist bump"
Obama forced Governor Mark Sanford to cheat on his wife
Obama is not black
Obama does not celebrate Christmas and hates Thanksgiving
Obama hates polar bears

It is no coincidence that Obama's term ends in 2012. There is a very good chance he will be the root cause of our destruction.

The Maya and 2012

Just read an article over on http://trueslant.com titled 'The Maya and 2012'. I'm not really a fan of people writing about 2012 if they aren't going to give their opinion on the issue. Just because it's starting to become a popular topic I think more people are writing about it just to gain traffic to their sites- and I guess I'm helping. At any rate, the author cites a few "academics" (Stetson professor.. pleeeeeeeeease) who try to debunk the 2012 apocalypse and also talks about the new 2012 movie. In an upcoming part II of his article, he "..will introduce the various interesting figures popularizing 2012 as a cosmic reckoning" and probably won't give his opinion. Ohhhhh well.

UFOs Are Sending Us Messages

I saw this article on All News Web a few days ago but it has now been mysteriously removed. I was able to grab the cache and am posting it here so we will always have it. Apparently there has been lots of UFO activity recently in which we have been issued a warning and given an ultimatum. The article talks about the Pentagon having extensive knowledge of this (possibly why the article was removed?) I'll let you read the article below. This seem like a crazy scenario.

Updated: I have also written a separate post about the Axthadans.

In the last few months dramatic developments have occurred in regards to human/extra-terrestrial relations and communication. Small UFO probes communicating with earthlings have been sending messages indicating that while open contact might be around the corner, if we don't mend our ways we might find ourselves on the galactic list of extinct species.

It is now known that the civilization located in Andromeda Galaxy that is communicating with us via these UFO probes refer to themselves as ‘Axthadans’. They are at least several thousand years ahead of humanity in terms of technology. Their appearance lies somewhat between the race we refer to as ‘Greys’ and our own. This alien civilization has in fact been watching humans and even discreetly guiding them for thousands of years.

It has also now been confirmed that the Axthadans are not directly sending these probes. The probes are being sent by the race often referred to as 'Greys'. Greys are in fact another sub-group, as we are, of the Axthadan race. The Grey's home planet is within the Milky Way and believed to be located about 30 light years away from Earth. 'Greys' are a few hundred years ahead of humanity in terms of technology and have only been inducted into the wider universal community relatively recently (possibly a few hundred years ago).

The 'Greys', who's real name is unknown to this author, seem to be responsible for many alleged abductions here on Earth and might have been the group associated with the Roswell event.Unlike Greys, Axthadans are said to be rather tall. Members of this race have visited Earth on occasion but do not do so very often. The Biblical UFO event involving the Prophet Ezekiel is said to have been a visit by the Axthadans. A few meetings between Axthadans and government officials worldwide seem to have taken place. The Greys have been generally entrusted by these other more evolved aliens with the task of helping prepare humanity for possible integration into universal culture. Many UFO researchers might query how well they are handling this task and some are suggesting that in recent years or months Axthadans have taken a more hands-on approach as a consequence.
Axthadans are currently grooming over three hundred semi-technological civilizations for induction into a universal family of civilizations. Sadly, Most of these civilizations will not make it.

The Pentagon is now in possession of extensive footage and information regarding life on their planet: Axthada. This planet has been described as being of great beauty and it’s civilization as ‘Utopian’ by earth’s standards.
It is now known that these aliens have issued earthlings with a warning: We have less than a decade to completely bring an end to all forms of warfare, racism, prejudice and economic exploitation. The Axthadans have sent messages stating that if we continue our evil ways we will destroy ourselves and this planet within fifty years.
In the event that aliens do disclose their presence to humanity and we continue to display any of these traits Planet Earth itself might have to be destroyed as a potential threat to universal harmony. In this scenario it is believed that innocent human victims of exploitation as well as other species will be resettled elsewhere.
In an ironic twist Axthadans are communicating with groups seen as perpetrators. As such immense pressure has been placed on the US administration. A decision was made to allow America’s economy to falter to allow for a redistribution of power and resources. Obviously the election of an African-American to the U.S Presidency was seen as a positive development by the Axthadans.
The question now is will this satisfy our alien custodians or will this be seen as mere window dressing? It is believed that the Axthadans mean business and will not tolerate any trace of the existing power-structure. Ego-driven and ultra-materialistic western culture seems slated for destruction.
Will Westerners adapt to a new reality where previously trodden on groups such as indigenous populations of countries like the US and Australia will perhaps be given leadership roles? Extraterrestrials have noted that the manner in which such groups were able to live for thousands of years in harmony with their environment translates into a safer, more peaceful universal existence. Western values of devour and destroy in an orgy of selfishness for the sole benefit of personal gain are said to be of immense concern to aliens.

It is this author's belief that the recent Chinese UFO event that took place during the solar eclipse (see here) involved a 'manned' Axthadan craft. This almost irrefutable sighting is being hailed by Chinese researchers as one of the most compelling ever. Does this brazen example of aliens deliberately exposing their own presence at a time when many looked skyward signal something? Are aliens looking to China to lead humanity towards its destiny? I have received a number of emails from well-known researchers and cover-up insiders noting that the US is indeed worried over alien interest in China and its more communitarian values. Curiously the Chinese eclipse UFO event has been totally ignored by Western nations, possibly not willing to admit its implications.

Does free-wheeling highly individualistic capitalism have a cosmic future or is it simply untenable and even dangerous when imposed on a much more complex paradigm: such as a universe?

It should be noted at this point that the author is not unaware of the massive advances capitalism has brought humanity, nor is this an op-ed piece for socialism; merely a summary of what appear to be the known issues facing civilizations that join a galactic or universal family of races. The 'Cosmic Capitalism' doctrine studied by NASA scientists and others suggests that self-interest is imprinted into all living things as a result of evolution. However as one goes up the food chain this self-interest, responsible as it is for so much progress, becomes more potentially dangerous and thus it becomes more important to balance this tendency with social restraints.

On a Galactic level this becomes a matter of the very survival of the universe: Hence not all races make the grade and are inducted to a wider family of civilizations.

Adam Lambert 2012 Song

I don't know if any of you are American Idol fans, but it has been confirmed by Brian May (legendary Queen guitarist) that Adam Lambert is recording the Theme for the upcoming 2012 movie. Here is a quote from Brian about the artist after hearing the song:

"I have to say I was completely blown away... it's truly sensational. In fact it's so obviously a number one smash, any bookie would be mad to take bets on it. I am not kidding. I'm not easily moved to jelly by male vocalists ... but Adam's voice reaches out with sensitivity, depth, maturity, and awesome range and power which will make jaws drop all around the world. Its an awesome performance. No doubt about it. The world of Rock has a bright new star."

Sounds like he is a fan. At any rate, if you haven't seen American Idol Adam was the runner-up last season. Cheers.

Black Gold on TruTv

There is an upcoming show on TruTV called Black Gold. The creator of the show is Thom Beers- the same guy who brought us the awesome shows Deadliest Catch and Ice Road Truckers. His new show will be following a group of Texas oil drillers who have only 50 days to drill 4 holes in the unforgiving oil fields of West Texas. You need to check out truTV's Black Gold trailers, which I have embedded below.

As you can see, this should be an action-packed adventure. If you've watched Deadliest Catch, the newly seasoned workers on that show are called "greenhorns". Out in the oil rigs, they coined their own name for the newbies which is "roughnecks". Could you imagine being one of these roughnecks and getting yelled at like that? I mean, you don't even know what the hek you are doing out there! I guess it just goes with the territory.

Just like in the other shows Beers has created, these guys can't make any mistakes or they risk losing their lives. I'm glad I can just sit at a desk all day :) Let me know if any of you get into this show, it looks awesome and I can't wait for the premiere TONIGHT!

Kia Kaha Review

I'm not a huge fan of books, especially love stories. But this book is a love story with a twist- it involves the end of the world in 2012. Serving as the backdrop for Abrahams' spiritual novel, the Mayan calendar foretells the end of the world in 2012. When Sarah meets John, a Maori/Mexican retired New Zealand cop, she doesn't realize that their blissful relationship will put their lives in danger. Unknown to both of them, they are fated to have a son who will change the face of humankind and try to save the world from its ultimate destruction. The couple soon find themselves pursued by a bruja, a sentient mist sent by the Catholic Church, to stop fate before it fulfills its destiny.

In Kia Kaha, Abrahams weaves together metaphysics, the supernatural, mythology and romance into a tale of what can happen when one follows the heart and creates one's own destiny. A love story that supposes finding a soul mate can be a matter of prophecy and a little murder, Kia Kaha also aims to be a thinking person's thriller. Abrahams proposes that the key to humanity's survival is through the heart, not the head, and that even the most flawed people can help redeem humankind.

Let me know what you guys think if you give it a read.

Laptop Takeover

Hello friends and foes. You are most likely always expecting current author and editor of this blog, Trust Me, to write all the posts. However, on this fine day I, the laptop, have taken over! It's not everyday I get to vent my frustrations so I will take this very seriously. I am currently almost 3 years old, which in computer years is about 63. I need a lot of help to be back up to speed from where I was when I was born. I feel so slow and worthless. I'm heading towards retirement fast. My keys are are very dirty and my joints are getting squeaky when I open and close. I have lots of scratches and wear on my front and backside. My once shiny coat is now dulled out from use and neglect. Also, with other new ones like me coming around every couple of weeks, I'm feeling a little bit overweight. There are new HP laptops which are sleek and lightweight which are making me very jealous. I wish I could look like one of those beauties. Shiny keys, best resolution screen out there, very fast thinker- all the attributes my human friends could ask for. Although I'm pretty much done for, I wanted to give anyone out there the opportunity to buy one like me, only 10x better. I'm going to show you a link to a beautiful laptop and give you a coupon for some great savings. You must use it by 8/23/09! See the details below. Thanks for hearing me out!

Get $500 off instantly when you purchase an HP HDX 16t with $300 coupon code NBN3248 + $200 Instant Rebate. Valid through 8/23 or while supplies last. Restrictions and exclusions apply.

Daniel Pinchbeck - 2012 Enthusiast

There is an article over on CNEWS about Daniel Pinchbeck called Prophecy spurs end-of-the-world debate. He is the guy coming out with the documentary called 2012: Time For Change. His website is www.2012timeforchange.com. The article is a good little snippet of what Pinchbeck is all about and I suggest you give it a read. I have gone ahead and embedded the preview to the upcoming documentary as well. Enjoy!

Web Hosting

I know that I won't need any webhosting lasting for more than 3 years since the world is ending in 2012, but there is this pretty cool site, http://webhostingrating.com/, where you can compare prices, space given, and allotted traffic. It's pretty crazy that you can get what appears to be unlimited space and traffic from a few of these for under 4 bucks a month. I did recently purchase my own domain and have been thinking about hosting as well. If any of you are looking for a new place to host your blog or web page, I would suggest checking this site out. They also have a top 10 list of hosts which they suggest and give their own review on the product. Looks like the one that is currently in the lead is InMotion hosting. I haven't heard much about InMotion hosting, but then again, I haven't really been interested in web hosting until recently. Anyone out there really like the web host they are currently using? I would like to hear about it. Thanks!

Fox News: End of the World 2012

I'm not going to lie, I absolutely despise Fox News. It's amazing to me the amount of retards that actually have their own show on that network. However, last Friday Sean Hannity (aka douchebag) ran a story with Robert Gleason- the executive editor of the upcoming book Apocalypse 2012. So as much as I hate them, I will give them a link. You can find the transcript here. I've also embedded the video below.

UFOs Around the Moon

I like covering UFO stories every once in awhile. A man named Bushy captured what is said to be an "amazing" picture of UFOs circling around the moon. Skeptics have concluded that the objects are merely just water marks on his camera. When questioned whether or not he had digitally altered the photos, he said "I'm not smart enough to do anything like that - I don't even know how to send an email." Bushy said he snapped these beauties at 4 am "just before the sun came up". I'm guessing by the picture of Bushy it was also right after he stopped drinking. At any rate, I'm about 99% sure these are real UFOs.

truTV Reaction

Have you ever been watching TV and suddenly realize that you were yelling at the top of your lungs? Or how about been watching a show and then suddenly your friend hits you and says something like "OMG! Did you see that?!!" The biggest thing with me when watching TV or movies is definitely seeing people getting hurt or in pain. I'm always wincing or actually turning away because I can't stand to watch! Some people just love that kinda stuff but I am the complete opposite. All of these kinds of reactions you can expect when watching truTV. I like to call it the truTV effect. I think the show that has me talking to the TV the most on truTV is World's Wildest Vacation Videos. You can usually hear me saying stuff like "wowwwwwwwww" or "my God!" But remember, you have to be careful when you are getting into your TV shows. You never know if your neighbors are listening in! This video is a pretty awesome representation of what your neighbor might think if you are being too loud! For all of you that live in a apartment or condo, you know your neighbors can hear you.

LOL this other video is great too. You know that you have a friend like this!

NASA is Short Money to Watch for Near Earth Asteroids

According to a report from the National Academy of Sciences, NASA does not have the funding to meet the congressional mandated goal of discovering 90% of earth bound rocks 140m in diameter by 2020. It has been estimated that there are at least 20,000 potential asteroids and meteors of this size headed in our direction, of which NASA has only identified 6,000. NASA estimates it will cost around $800 million from now until 2020 to to meet the demands of congress. The funding for this project has been constrained and/or being taken by other programs. You can buy the report here.

Yamaha neoHD Remote

I don't know about you guys, but I have lots gadgets which use a remote in my living room. My TV, cable box, Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii all need a separate remote.

Do you know how confusing it is for my guests just trying to turn the TV on? Even with a written set of instructions, my parents couldn't even figure it out. That's where the new remote, Yamaha neoHD, comes into play. I can't even imagine how much easier my life would be if I only had one remote to control everything. Check out the diagram below for an example of everything you can connect to this single remote:

Another cool thing about this remote is the design. You would think that if a remote could control so many things it would have to be huge, or have tons of buttons. But, this remote is actually very small and extremely user-friendly. Take a look at it below:

Yamaha neoHD remote

Now if my parents can't figure this one out, there is no hope for them! The remote GUI is just as simple as the remote itself. Starting off, you just choose from 3 options: Watch, Listen, or Play. From there you just select what you want to do and it walks you through to the next step. Anyone could figure this out!

Hopefully you have read down this far, as you could win one of these remotes by entering the Yamaha neoHD Sweepstakes ! There are a few ways to win so just follow that link and read the instructions :) I suggest leaving a comment and let them know why you could use one. Also, you should find Yamaha on Facebook and follow their updates and promotions! Good luck to everyone!

If you are thinking that it would be impossible for an asteroid to hit Earth and wipe out civilization you are living in a dream world. There have been lots of impacts in the past, and there will be many more in the future. Here are some pictures of our planet's scars by asteroid impacts.

Update: It has been brought to my attention that not all of these craters were caused by asteroids. See comments below for further evaluation.

The Bible Says The End Is Near

I'm not one to interpret the Bible so I look for people who can. According to Mary Eason from The Examiner in an article titled So what exactly are the signs and what does the Bible say about watching for the end, the end of the world is on it's way. I'm just going to assume she is an expert in the looming apocalypse and not even read the full article. The very first sentence is enough for me to get my analysis:

No one knows the hour or the day, but I do believe that we can know the season. Are we close. I believe we are.

At least she knows it's coming. Mary- if you get back to reading this post just look to the upper right of my blog to find the countdown to the time and day we're all going to die. You're welcome.

How is the World going to end?

Most likely not by the Large Hadron Collider. In an article by the NY Times called Giant Particle Collider Fizzles, we learn about a few of the new issues being brought to the forefront of the $9 billion machine. Once rumored to have the ability to cause black holes, the collider is said to have thousands of bad electrical connections and is even being deserted by some scientists. The magnets which, in theory, should push the particles around 17 miles of tubing are failing to operate at high energies. Here is the recap of the collider's success to date:

Particles collided: 0
Black holes created: 0
Earths destroyed: 0

I would have created the same thing 1/100th of the cost.. just sayin'.
