Kia Kaha Review

I'm not a huge fan of books, especially love stories. But this book is a love story with a twist- it involves the end of the world in 2012. Serving as the backdrop for Abrahams' spiritual novel, the Mayan calendar foretells the end of the world in 2012. When Sarah meets John, a Maori/Mexican retired New Zealand cop, she doesn't realize that their blissful relationship will put their lives in danger. Unknown to both of them, they are fated to have a son who will change the face of humankind and try to save the world from its ultimate destruction. The couple soon find themselves pursued by a bruja, a sentient mist sent by the Catholic Church, to stop fate before it fulfills its destiny.

In Kia Kaha, Abrahams weaves together metaphysics, the supernatural, mythology and romance into a tale of what can happen when one follows the heart and creates one's own destiny. A love story that supposes finding a soul mate can be a matter of prophecy and a little murder, Kia Kaha also aims to be a thinking person's thriller. Abrahams proposes that the key to humanity's survival is through the heart, not the head, and that even the most flawed people can help redeem humankind.

Let me know what you guys think if you give it a read.
